Age Verification

You must be aged 18 or over to purchase a Million Pound Lottery ticket.

In order to purchase a ticket online, you will need to either:

  • Use a pre-age verification code
  • Use YOTI to confirm your age

Pre-age verification codes

Pre-age verification codes have been sent out to all those who purchased a ticket in 2019 either by email or by post (where we do not hold a valid email address). If you bought a ticket in 2019 and have not received your code, please email the Income Generation Team at fundraising@jerseyhospicecare.com

When you go to purchase your ticket, you will be asked for this six-digit code. It is unique to you (based on your surname and postcode) and is non-transferable. If your surname or postcode have changed since 2019 the code will not work and you will need to go through the YOTI age verification process.

YOTI

YOTI is a form of digital ID that enables us to verify your identity. This system has been adopted by the Government of Jersey to make it easier and more secure to access government services online (e.g. online tax returns) and in person. It’s quick and easy to sign up to and over 20,000 people on the Island are already registered. Find out more at www.id.gov.je or go to www.yoti.com to register.

When you go to purchase your ticket, you will be asked to sign in with YOTI. If you have the app already on your phone, simply scan the QR code. If you do not yet have an account, you can set one up on your smart phone or tablet.

In Person

If you do not have a pre-age verification code and do not wish to use YOTI, we will need to verify your age in person. We will be able to do this once we commence face to face sales.
